It took a lot to not have Paul and Lou paint this red or orange to look like a fire hydrant. This piece is as authentic as it gets. We left the knobs sticking out because it adds character. It's a little guy and perfect for a tight space or next to your sofa or chair. 15"H/7.5"W

According to the advocacy group the ARC, the majority of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities are either unemployed or underemployed, despite their ability, desire and willingness to work in the community. Our family started Logs for Lou to keep Louis keep busy and help generate income so that he can have a full and rich life in our community. Like all parents of "kids" with disabilities, we will continue to seek outside employment for our son. In the meantime, we are having fun with this enterprise and hope it inspires others to make the most of the situation and create a micro-business that works for them. We look forward to hearing about other small and large businesses that are proactive in hiring people with disabilities.
